SkillCheck and National League for Nursing (NLN) Cooperate to Automate Tests for PC and Internet Delivery

Test Automation Expected to Accelerate Deployment of NLN “Gold Standard” Nursing Tests to Schools of Nursing, Hospitals and Medical Staffing Firms

BURLINGTON, Mass., April 12, 2005 --SkillCheck, Inc., the leading innovator in automated skills assessments, announced today that it has joined with the National League of Nursing (NLN), the premiere provider of nursing tests for nursing schools and medical organizations, to automate several of NLN's assessment lines for PC and Internet delivery. Automating NLN’s testing content will provide existing NLN customers with the convenience of additional test deployment options. Value-added nursing test content made available through the partnership will also provide SkillCheck’s medical staffing customers with a premium skills testing solution for evaluating nursing skills, whether they prefer software or online delivery.

The first product to be released under this new alliance will be NLN's Nurses in Practice (PAS) assessments covering a broad range of nursing fields including critical thinking, maternal/child health and community and home health care. Customers will have access to SkillCheck's unique test-customization features, permitting them to create custom assessments that include high-quality NLN test content. SkillCheck will also offer NLN PAS tests online on a per-test basis.

NLN and SkillCheck are also working to automate NLN academic assessment products, in order to provide schools of nursing with maximum flexibility in deploying NLN tests on standalone computers, networks and the Internet.
